Taking control ofretirement planning in Germany.
I first reached out to Kerstin last year to help me get more confident in how to manage my money and my future planning in Germany. Despite living here for 10 years, many of the intricacies of the system were a mystery to me. I was afraid of making the wrong choice and so had become paralysed by indecision.
Kerstin took her time to help me understand my options and set up my savings, investments, and insurances. I now take a few hours every month to look these over (my Kerstin time) and feel much more in control.
Having got my finances in order, I have recently started working with Kerstin to set out my wishes for my care and who should exercise those wishes if needs be. Again, learning about the system in Germany and setting things in place has helped me feel easier. My next steps will be to put together a will.
The most important thing that I have learned from Kerstin, however, is that it isn’t scary, you just have to start somewhere. And after those first steps, it gets easier.
